No. All shared and private tours come with a licensed captain. You only need a license if you choose a self-drive small boat under 30hp.
For July and August we recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, especially for catamarans and private charters. May, June, September and October are usually flexible.
Captains decide on the morning of the tour based on wind and sea state. If a tour is cancelled by the operator due to weather, you get a full refund or free rescheduling.
Yes, most tours welcome children. Catamarans are the most stable choice for families. Life jackets in children's sizes are always provided.
Most full-day cruises include lunch, water, soft drinks and often wine. Sunset cruises usually include dinner or appetizers plus drinks. Always check the inclusions on each listing.
Many cruises pass Delos and stop at neighbouring Rhenia for swimming. To enter the Delos archaeological site you need a separate ticket and a guided shore visit — some tours include this option.
Most tours depart from Mykonos New Port or Platis Gialos. Pick-up details are sent with your booking confirmation. Some private charters offer hotel pick-up.
The Meltemi is a strong northerly that blows mainly in July and August. It rarely cancels tours but can make smaller boats bumpy. Catamarans handle it best.
Most listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour. Private charters may have stricter terms — always check before booking.
